Teen to represent Great Britain in trampoline World Championships

17 year old Courtney Warne from Rochdale will be representing England at the World Trampoline Championships in Metz this November.

Courtney has been a gymnast since she was three years old, although had to give up the sport last year through injury. She then turned her hand to trampolining, and found herself representing England soon after in the Loule Cup.

Having only been using the trampoline for a year, Courtney has quickly progressed to National Standard and competes in the Double Mini Trampoline competition, where tow are joined at a slight angle.

The World Championships in November are only second to the Olympics in terms of skill so this is a very high level of competition.

Her coach at the Salford Trampoline Excellence Club Steve Moreton said " This is a massive achievement for somebody who's only been in the sport for such a short time."
