Trampoline Winter Care Tips

Atlantic Trampolines Winter care Tips
Having had a good summer's bouncing, now is the time to give your trampoline a little tender loving care before shutting it down for the winter.
If, like us, you live in an exposed area, then you may already be dropping the safety enclosure in high winds to avoid your trampoline blowing away. This really is a necessity in the UK. However, whether you leave the trampoline up or not through the cold season is up to you. A good quality trampoline should cope with the elements if a weather cover is used. However cheaper trampolines which do not have UV protection may suffer adversely and you are probably looking at least an hour to take it down, plus you need adequate indoor space to store it.
If you do decide to leave your trampoline up, make sure you have a good anchor kit or system to weigh it down as trampolines on the loose can cause a lot of damage which may not be covered on your home insurance. And beware on Bonfire night of any hot ashes burning the bounce mat. Make sure it is covered or you may find yourself having to replace it.
Check your trampoline for any rips or tears and order replacement parts so that it's ready for spring. Make sure that the enclosure, spring padding and bed are all intact. Feet can catch in holes and some very nasty accidents can results. Many people are unaware too that they can get new parts for their trampolines.
If you do need replacement parts or an anchor kit, we have the biggest selection and stock as they hold probably the biggest stock of parts to suit virtually any make of trampoline and run a helpful freephone 'TRAMPO-LINE' based at 'Bounce House' in Wales. Any questions about your trampolines and they really are the people to help.
Make sure any leaves or debris are removed from the trampoline bed to avoid staining and wipe over the mat and spring covers with soapy water. Any squeaky springs can be treated with petroleum jelly and any surface rust can be treated with WD40. Check that the frame and springs are all intact and the screws are tight.
Once your trampoline has had a proper MOT, you can then put the cover on and forget about it until the Spring.
