PE Teacher becomes Great Britain Trampoline coach

Jess Batham, from John Leggott College in North Lincolnshire, is one of the most highly-qualified trampoline coaches in the world and has just taken up the role of coach for the Great Britain Trampoline team for a major international tournament.

She is a former one-time world champion so well placed to help the team go onto win gold.

Jess said ahead of her new role which sees her off to Budapest for four days to help train the team "I am looking forward to working with the talented members of the Great Britain team and gaining further experience that will also help when I work with my own students locally. I always aim to demonstrate there is a fun side to trampolining, as well as the fitness and competitive sides.

Many college students have not had the opportunity to try trampolining before, so I enjoy offering them a chance to get a taste of the sport at John Leggott College.

Jess started trampolining at 13 and became national champion in 2005, and also coaches at the Abbey Flyers Trampoline club in Sheffield.
