BBC's Kate Silverton trampolines live
Bouncy TV broadcaster Kate Silverton lost her footing on a trampoline while filming at a Newbury School with Matthew Pinsent. The filming was intended to highlight the launch of 'Olympic Dream - School Search', a search for dozens of primary and secondary schools across the UK to twin with schools all over the world and take part in a special project in the run-up to the London Olympics in 2012. The aim of the project is to help inspire youngsters by getting them involved in the excitement of this global event.
Trampolining was first accepted as an Olympic sport in 2000 and is increasingly used in schools today as a way of encouraging participation in sport, particularly among teenage girls. Look out for Britain's top male trampolinist James Higgins in the 2012 Olympics. He reckons his sport can deliver a medal at London 2012 following a strong showing at the World Championships last year.
James Higgins, 25, came seventh in the men's individual final in Russia, the British champion's best result to date. "I would hope with my result and new blood in the team, this will be a springboard on to better things in the future," Higgins told BBC Sport. "I'm going for a medal, or a win, or whatever I can get at the Olympics."
