As the weather improves and we move closer to the Easter holidays many parents will be considering buying a garden trampoline for their children. A major consideration for all parents is safety for their children when using the trampoline. A useful article on this topic is provided by RSoPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) and is well worth reading before making your purchasing decision.
RSoPA make the important point that taking risks, and maybe getting hurt, is part of growing up, but by following a few basic rules trampolining can be a fun and safe form of exercise. Leading suppliers, such as Atlantic Trampolines, provide clear safety information with their products which they suggest you read together with your children before the trampoline gets first used. It is a good idea to establish a few “house” rules with your children for the use of the trampoline which they can also explain to their friends who may use it.
I intend to write a longer article on this topic soon but for the time being the RSoPA article makes some valuable points.
