Chartered Institute of Marketing talk at Aberystwyth

The BossWe travelled up to Aberystwyth yesterday as I was giving a talk at the University entitled “Putting the Bounce Back into your Business”. The opportunity had arisen as a result of us winning a Canmol: Wales Marketing Award last year. It was a wonderful journey across mid-Wales with some great scenery. My talk covered the background to how we formed the business back in 2005 – people always seem facinated that we developed the idea from our other business in cheese maturation but I suppose that is just part of our culture to look at new ideas and not be scared to try something new. I outlined some of the ups and downs (no pun intended here!) that we have encountered along the way and gave some of my business tips for aspiring entrepreneurs in the audience. We had an interesting discussion at the end covering areas like SEO strategy, the issues regarding managing a supply chain that starts in China and our international expansion plans. Thank you to all those who came along to listen.
